So my brother made the switch to Ubuntu Linux today from Windows XP. He originally wanted to update to the new Vista, but the more we hear the more it sounds like a bad thing, so in search of something new and different we checked out Linux. So far he is enjoying it, everything is running smooth, and it was really easy. If anything goes wrong I will pass the word onto the world.
I would also like to say I did try to covert him to mac, but he doesnt really have the money to buy a whole new computer, so it wasnt really an option considering he cant install OS X on his pc lol.

so i thought that you could run mac os on a pc via an emulator? i wouldnt recommend it but i think u can. but ya i heard vista is just a windows rip-off of the new tiger 10.4? basically a windows version of the mac os. but ya keep us posted on how the new os is workin out 4 him.
